Since the kids have been singing the "Boo to You" song ever since we attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in September, and have been enthralled with the Boo! for You Halloween Episodes on Disney Junior, I picked a Mickey Theme for the first once.
We called it "Mickey's Boo To You Halloween Dinner".
Our Menu:
- Mickey's Mummy Pizza (a combination of this and this)
- Donald's Devil Cupcakes
- Pluto's Bones (Breadsticks)
- Goofy's Ghost Bananas
- Minnie's Witches Brew
I think the idea was good, although I didn't execute it so well. My Mickey Pizzas didn't look too much like Mickey after they were cooked, and when the cheese melted, it stopped looking like mummy wrappings. The devil cupcakes were pinkish instead of red and the Goody bananas didn't end up looking a thing like Goofy.
Maybe someone out there can take my idea and do a good job with it! I promise to try harder on my other Halloween meals throughout the month.
Even though it didn't look great, it tasted okay. We paired the meal with a viewing of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - Mickey's Treat
which was cute. I love Halloween and it's fun to celebrate the season no matter what!
